First residents move into Quebec Park

The first residents have moved into Radian Homes’ Quebec Park in Bordon.

Eight homes are now occupied at the development, and Radian representatives were on hand to welcome the new group of homeowners to the area.

Sally Smikle, one of the first residents, said: “Our overall experience with Radian has been positive and fairly plain sailing. Both sales executives have been very friendly, helpful and easy to contact. We also never had to wait long for answers to our questions. The standard fittings are of good quality and functionality.”

The development is located on the former site of the Quebec Barracks, and once complete will consist of 100 two, three, and four-bedroom homes including coach-houses, terraces, townhouses and detached houses.

The first and second phases sold out very quickly, with just the two-bedroom shared ownership coach house still available at £242,000.

The third phase, which was launched last month, offers two, three and four bedroom homes, with prices for a three-bedroom property starting at £320,000. The two-bedroom properties will be released soon. Each home comes with either designated parking or a private driveway.

Help to Buy is available on all homes. The scheme is available to both first-time buyers and existing home owners. The scheme allows buyers to buy a new home with just a five per cent deposit. The Government provides an interest-free equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the new property, meaning the buyer then requires a mortgage of 75 per cent of the cost of the house.

Zoe Bonnington, assistant director of new business, sales and marketing at Radian, said: “We’re delighted to welcome our first residents to Quebec Park. The feedback we’ve received from new buyers in terms of customer service, quality of our homes and their love of the area has been truly heart-warming.

“Our homes have appealed to a range of buyers, from single occupiers to couples and young families moving up the property ladder. Many have expressed their excitement in the significant regeneration taking place in the area, with many looking forward to trying the new restaurants, shops and leisure facilities.

“The planned changes to the town and infrastructure has been a big draw for our buyers, and savvy customers have recognised the clever investment they’ve made as the regeneration is expected to boost the market.”
